The Lovely Kate Walsh Supports Social Causes

The lovely, multi-talented Kate Walsh has starred in a wide variety of television and movie roles ranging from serious drama to the most absurd comedy. In her most recent starring role as Dr. Addison Montgomery on Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice, Walsh is a hard-nosed surgeon who’s better at her profession than she is at her personal life.

In real life, Kate Walsh clearly has both her professional and personal life under control. Walsh has starred in Hollywood films as diverse as the horror/thriller 1408 and in the Will Ferrell comedy Kicking and Screaming. Despite her more prolific dramatic roles, Walsh clearly has a knack for getting laughs and we look forward to seeing her in more comedic roles.

In her personal life, Walsh has made a huge committment to be part of major social causes. Walsh was part of the Obama campaign and participated in a meeting that marked the one-year anniversary of the BP oil spill. As part of the Obama campaign, Walsh appeared in the Yes We Can video produced by none other than will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas which also featured Scarlett Johansson and John Legend. Walsh also brought a bit of humor to her social causes when she appeared on the Tongiht Show with Jay Leno in a sushi and sashimi dress to bring attention to ocean conservancy and to make fun of Lady GaGa’s infamous meat dress. Maybe we’ll see Walsh on some of the 2012 Lady GaGa tour dates in her fish outfit. You never know.
