As you would have possibly noticed, we put up a new layout here on Kate-Walsh.net. The layout was made by our amazing friends Deea and Gabrielle over at TwentyOneGuns.org. The theme is beachy and put up just in time for the summer so we hope you’ll like it as much as we do.

We are indeed taking in more submissions for the Kate-Walsh.net Birthday Project, we know it’s still very early on but we figured we’d need time to gather in all the submissions, give y’all time to put your messages and pictures together as well as enough time for us to incorporate everything together.

So as of now, we’re looking for more submissions so please please please be sure to head on over here and send your messages when you’re ready. Remember, the sooner the better as you’ll be able to increase your chances of getting into the first few pages. Below here are some general details about the project, if any of you are hesitant because of privacy issues, we assure you that you have nothing to worry about as the information you send in will only be used by us. You have the option of not including your Picture, Twitter URL and Country – but we do ask that you include your e-mail so we can contact you if there are any problems.

We realize it’s a bit early to be starting this project as it is quite a while away, but since it’s only just gonna the two of us, Link and Riley, who are working on this – we figured we’d need quite a lot of time to compile this all together as well as to have enough time to gather in as many submissions as possible.
So please don’t hesitate to submit your messages to us and we’ll be sure to include you in there. We’ll be sure to post the final outcome perhaps a few days before Kate’s actual birthday on 13th October for you all to view and get a last chance at e-mailing us if there are any errors.

3. You don’t have to submit a picture or enter your twitter url, however since we figured it’d be nice we’d give you the option of doing so as Kate knows a lot of you Twitter, this might be a way to distinguish yourselves.
4. Submissions are taken in on a first come first serve basis.
5. We don’t have a limit yet as to how many messages we’ll be taking in, so at the moment we’ll take in any and all unless they’re really inappropriate.
6. No videos please.
7. You may submit more than one picture so please include the other links to the pictures in the Message box.

We know this is a few weeks and months in advance of Kate’s Birthday but as we mentioned before, we realized that we’ll be having a really busy summer ahead of us so we wanted to get a head start with this project to get in as many submissions as possible as well as to leave enough time to compile the whole project together.

As y’all may have noticed, there have been a lack of updates here on Kate-Walsh.net but we just wanted to let y’all know that we’re gonna be putting the site on a pretty long hiatus from here on until mid-June. The reason being is that we both have exams we have to complete and since Link finishes hers in mid-June she’ll be doing the updates from then on until Riley finishes.

It’s not that we won’t be updating the site anymore, but perhaps less frequently as there’s not really much to update with Kate on her hiatus and with us busy with exams.

So, please do continue to visit Kate-Walsh.net as we WILL be updating the site but not on a daily basis.

Okay, so a few days ago it was my birthday and as a challenge Link and I kinda decided that we’d see who could find the most ways to wish each other a happy birthday in public. Yet I know this is totally unrelated to Kate, but still. But what I’d like to say is…

Link you’re an awesome friend. We are practically twins from different parts of the world and I am so glad I met you. We’ve been through such a roller coaster ride for the past 7 years of our friendship now and I love you so much! I will never be able to thank you for how much crap you’ve done for me and I haven’t even met you.

Thank you so much for being an awesome friend I really hope you have the best birthday ever and I really hope that I can get you that birthday gift you kinda found out about earlier yesterday.

So, some of you may know this but it’s Riley’s (my coweb) Birthday today and I’ve been working with her for the past 5 years with so many different fan sites and I’ve grown to become so close to her. She’s an amazing person and works so hard on sites that we’ve created together, including Kate-Walsh.net. So with that I’d just like to wish her a very happy birthday and all the very best!

I love you so much girl! I hope you have an amazing birthday!!

We posted this earlier on Twitter, but now we’ve decided to get feedback through the site to see clearer statistics. But we were just wondering if we held a Fan of the Month thing every month would you participate? The purpose of this would be to introduce Kate to more of her fans from all around the world and not just the ones who have had the opportunity to meet her.

It doesn’t take much for you to be considered a candidate for this, to be considered all we ask is you tweet us or facebook us and from that we’ll pick a random person. From that all you’d have to do is be willing to send us 3 to 4 photos of yourself and of any Kate merchandises you may want etc. and an article (no word limit, just a minimum of 150 words) about yourself, why you’re a Kate fan etc. You’d be featured on our sidebar for the entire month, hence the name Fan of the Month, and from that you can share your story with the rest of us and hopefully Kate as well.

This isn’t to say that this is closed to any one who’s met Kate before because you’re welcome to take part in this as well so even if you have met Kate you’d be able to participate.

So, please vote in the poll on facebook and let us know what you think. We won’t consider this if we don’t think enough people would take part so please do vote honestly and don’t just click yes for the sake of it.

We are currently in the midst of building our Multimedia section which has been a part of our navigation bar for quite some time now. In the multimedia section, we will be including things like fan art, so graphics, icons, paintings, drawings, anything of that sort to have on display on the site. We’ll be giving full credit to those who contribute. A full icons archive is currently in the works so there will be a special section just for that. Additionally, over the summer we will be gathering videos to make up a video archive for you to stream and watch videos of Kate and for that we will be accepting fan videos to post on here, details about this will come again later but as of now we’re looking for art and graphics.
